Lydd NDB LYX, 8 July 2005.

There is a road from Littlestone-on-Sea going south to Lydd-on-Sea. At Greatstone-on-Sea is a road that seems to go back north. The last part of this road is a dead end. Behind the houses on the LHS runs - invisible for you - the Romney, Hythe & Dimchurch Railway. Behind the railway are the Romney Salts and Lydd Airport. At about two thirds of the road the beacon is visible above the houses. Unluckily we didn’t find a route to get nearer to the beacon.
And because of the bombings in London the day before we thought it not wise to try to take pictures from private property.
