Wim writes in his travelogue:
This VOR is located right next to the A35 motorway. Take the Bartenheim exit and turn around towards the motorway at the roundabout on the edge of Bartenheim. Halfway there is the possibility to take a side road, which goes towards the VOR. Planes regularly pass over the VOR because it is in line with the runway.
Pay attention! Do not miss the exit to the airport on the A35. After the airport, the road runs unceremoniously over the Swiss border into Basel. And in Switzerland you must have a motorway vignette on your windscreen. The price: approximately €50.
