Wim did go once a year with a friend to France.
On this travels he takes with him a map of France on which he has put the locations of most of the beacons.
In case there is a possibility that there is a beacon along side of the road,
he sits with the camera in his hand waiting for that one moment …
So on the road he made the following photo.
The photo is made at the south of the runway near the airport of St. Etienne.
They where driving on the A72 from St. Etienne to Clermont-Ferrand.
Wim had only time to take two pictures, the one above, and one unlucky with a passing car.
Later at the hotel he used the laptop to see if there was a beacon on the picture.
As you can see on the picture below – a part of the picture above – it happens to be there!

But...
Next time Wim was at France he came in this neighbourhood.
So he did take some other pictures.
He had to use a telephoto lens because the road going to the beacon was marked as private.
The route to BO:
This beacon is a few hundred meter away from the southern end of the runway.
Starting from St. Etienne you can take the A72 to the north (direction Clairmont Ferrand) or
the N82 - this road goes parallel with the A72.
If you take the N82 then you wil see the BO beacon about 200m before you arrive at the roundabout
leading to exit 9 of the A72 and also leading to the D100.
The beacon is at the RHS.
