NDB CGC, Cognac - Châteaubernard, 1 August 2010

Wim writes in his travel report:
Slept well and had breakfast at the Mercure hotel in Angouleme. Took some more pictures in the area. Then back to Cognac. On the way I see lightning bolts coming down in the distance. These are clearly showers, but heavy ones. The coordinate used is that of NDB CGC from which VOR/DME CNA is not far away. But it is a military air base so wait and see. The NDB can be seen immediately, so first look at the VOR. I find that by driving towards the flying club. There I can take a photo through the fence. Then back to this NDB and get to work there too.
This beacon is not in the GEN 2.5 list of 2024.
