This locator beacon is located at a beautiful surrounding, near to the Mediterranean See.
To get at the beacon drive from La Grande-Motte along the D62 direction Montpellier. The beacon is on the RHS of this road – just before Carnon-Plage (village at the LHS).

This area is part of the Camargue.
In these surroundings you can find salt water lakes called etangs in which flamingo's find there food. Aigues-Mortes is small city with city walls all around it. OK, it is a tourist business, but a nice place to visit.
