Locator Mark MK, 2003

Third time lucky. This also applies to beacon hunting. In 2004 Wim did not find this beacon, neither did we when we returned from England in 2005. A map with more details and a GPS provided the answer in 2006. According to the GPS, the beacon is at the coordinates given in the books.

From Calais or Gravelines, take the D940 to Oye-Plage. In the centre of Oye-Plage, turn north. You will then reach the D119. Turn right to Gravelines. A little further on, there is a road to the left. This goes to the Réserve naturelle du Platier d'Oye and to Les Ecardines. The beacon is on the right side of this road.
It is also possible to take exit 50 from the A16/E40 to Oye-Plage.
You can hear this beacon at Zoeterwoude where Wim lives.
