Wim reports the following:
This beacon is located on a site of the French Geves Institute. This institute studies new plant varieties that have been cultivated by growers. That is why this site is guarded.
The corn to be studied grew high and so only part of the beacon was visible.

September 2012:
Wim was in the area again and hoped for a better view of the beacon. And yes, he had more luck this time.
