Wiesbaden NDB WBD, July 17, 2013.

Yesterday we couldn't find this beacon. Last night I looked on Google Earth to see how things are with WBD.
Well, it goes like this: turn left onto the road at the hotel, turn right at the traffic lights, keep left for a while and then keep right and then almost immediately turn right. I don't know if that is officially allowed, but...
We end up on a railway viaduct near the eastern end of the track. Look in the right direction with the binoculars and no, no, or yes, there it is. The confusion is understandable, there is not one mast, there are two. With a wire antenna in between. The photo was taken with a tripod and a long telephoto lens. Only, this beacon does not transmit.
This beacon is not on the GEN 2.5 list of 2024.
