This beacon wil come in the place of WSR.
When we visited this beacon, WSR was switched off.
Just a few parts for WSN where lying around.
Part of NDB mast, in casing. WSN in future?
2019
When we arrived we immediately saw a shiny NDB mast. The car was parked on a grassy spot at the beginning of the road –
the road was lined with overhanging bushes that would have rubbed against the car – and we went to have a look on foot.
The mast that we thought was intended for the NDB in 2019 carries a DME antenna. And a little further on was the new NDB mast. Everything enclosed with a nice new and solid fence.
The owner of the site on which the masts are located was present. The site is rented from the owner by the DFS and he is responsible for the green maintenance.
The new NDB WSN, september 8, 2019.
Behind the shed of the former VOR is the mast with the DME.
