Cruquiusmuseum to AMS, 5.6 km – about 9 min

Just East of Heemstede along the Haarlemmermeer Ringvaart you will find the Cruquiusmuseum. We start here at the Cruquiusdijk in north easterly direction to De Klugt (2.7 km.) Turn right at De Klugt, left onto Kromme Spieringweg. Turn right to stay on Kromme Spieringweg. Go on onto Vijfhuizerweg, turn right to stay on the Vijfhuizerweg. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit towards Stelling (= Vijfhuizerweg.) After 1 km turn right onto IJweg. Just before the first farm buildings on the RHS go left onto a small road, visably leading to AMS.

On this spot you are very near the beginning of one of the runways. While Wim and I were here, every few minutes a plane took off from this runway.

Tourist information:
The village of Cruquius has a interesting museum with the same name. click here for information.
